This Privacy Policy explains how the Belaku – Kannada Poster Maker
mobile application (the "App", "we", "us") handles information when you use it.
We keep things simple: the App does not require you to create an account or sign in,
and the posters and photos you work with stay on your device unless you choose to
share or save them.
In short: No sign-up. Your photos and posters are processed on your
device and are never uploaded to us. We use a few standard Google services (ads,
content delivery, notifications, analytics and crash reporting) that may process limited device
data as described below.
1. Information the App handles
Photos and posters you create. Images you pick from your gallery,
capture with the camera, or create in the editor are stored only in the App's
private storage on your device. They are never sent to our servers. They leave your
device only if you explicitly save them to your gallery or share them to
another app.
No personal profile. We do not ask for your name, email, phone
number, contacts, or location, and we do not maintain user accounts.
2. Third-party services we use
The App relies on the following Google services, which may collect or process limited data under their own privacy policies:
Google AdMob (advertising). Shows ads and may access a device
advertising identifier and general device/usage information to serve and
measure ads, including limiting repeated or fraudulent ad views. See
How Google uses advertising data.
You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings.
Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). Used to fetch the App's
content — stickers, templates, quotes, designs and configuration — from our
catalog. This is a read-only download of content to your device; we do not upload
your personal data through it.
Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications). If you allow
notifications, Google issues a device messaging token so we can send announcements
(such as new designs or festival templates). You can turn notifications off any time
in your device settings.
Google Analytics for Firebase (usage analytics). Records
events about how the App is used — which screens are opened, which templates,
stickers or fonts are chosen, and whether an export succeeded — so we can see
which features are worth improving. These are tied to a randomly generated app
instance identifier, not to your identity. They do not include your
photos or the text you place on a poster. They do include the search
terms you type when looking for content, so we can see what people search for
and fail to find.
Firebase Crashlytics (stability). When the App crashes or hits
an error, it sends a diagnostic report containing the stack trace, your device
model and Android version, and a short log of what the App was doing at the
time. This is how faults get found and fixed. It does not include your photos
or poster content.
Google Play services, including on-device ML Kit
(used for the "Cutout" background-removal feature — this runs entirely on your device
and your photos are not uploaded) and the Google Play In-App Review
prompt.
Google's handling of any data collected through these services is governed by the
Google Privacy Policy.
3. Device permissions
Photos / storage — to let you pick an image and to save finished posters to your gallery.
Camera — only if you choose to capture a photo for a poster.
Notifications — to show optional announcements (you are asked, and can decline).
Internet — to download content and show ads.
4. How information is used
To let you create, edit, save and share posters.
To download and display the App's content catalog.
To show and measure ads that support the App.
To send optional notifications you have opted into.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Children
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Data retention & security
Posters and photos remain on your device until you delete them (or uninstall the App).
We do not store your images on our servers. Data processed by the Google services above
is retained per Google's policies.
7. Your choices
Reset or limit ad personalization via your device's advertising-ID settings.
Turn notifications on or off in your device settings.
Delete your saved posters from within the App or your gallery at any time.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above will
change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the
revised policy.
